Plump, elegant, comfortable mug. I spent many, many hours throwing this shape during my apprenticeship with Mark Hewitt. Despite being just a mug its one of the most difficult shapes I make, but it’s so worth spending the time to get it right.
This mug was decorated with some delicate floral sliptrailing before being dipped in a celadon glaze made primarily from a granite sourced outside of Charlotte, NC
