Woodfired Ceramics made with Local Material

All my pots are thrown with a special blend of a few North Carolina clays I mix next to my studio, a few of the more unique clays being used for all my slip decoration. I use as many locals granites as I can, mixing them with a few other material that help the flux to create beautiful glazes. With all this work, they are finished off with a variety of woodfired surfaces, mostly out of my kiln with a few from potters kilns across North Carolina as well.

All these things put together lead to a very unique regional identity to each of my pots, they are very me and very North Carolina.

Grassroots Aid Partnership

“Our mission is really simple: vulnerable communities that have been impacted by natural disasters and man made crises deserve nourishing meals, fortifying aid, community spaces, and compassionate helpers. We aim to make sure they get those basic needs met in their darkest hour - not with just a conveyor belt of food but with grassroots efforts that also make an impactful connection”
